Meet The Founder

Pat Tschida

Baseball has never been just a game to me. It’s been a classroom, a proving ground, and a place where confidence is built one rep at a time.

As the Head Baseball Coach at Watertown-Mayer, with collegiate experience at Viterbo University and St. Cloud Tech and 15 years of amateur baseball, the game has shaped nearly every chapter of my life. While there have been some memorable personal accolades, the moments that matter most don’t show up on a stat sheet. They show up in the athletes I’ve helped develop into Division I, II, and III opportunities, the relationships built through long days in the cage, and the lifelong friendships this game creates.

The Lab exists to give athletes a place to grow, compete, and believe in themselves, just like baseball has done for me.

Why The Lab Exists

My passion has always been teaching, crafting, and developing athletes. Not just better players, but stronger, more confident, and more self-aware movers. At The Lab, the goal isn’t to force athletes into a mold. It’s to help them understand who they are as movers and how to maximize it.

I care deeply about helping athletes:

  • Understand how their body moves and responds to training

  • Learn how to throw and swing within their own personal style

  • Develop sound mechanics without stripping away individuality

  • Build the mindset needed to compete, learn, and adapt

  • Gain healthy weight and functional mass that translates to performance

There is no single blueprint for elite movement. Every athlete is different, and great coaching should reflect that.
